Will of Mary Corn Sharp

I Mary Sharp of the County of Franklin & State of Tennessee being weak in body but of sound mind and disposing memory do make and publish this my last will & testament. 

First I direct that Susan Frances Sharp shall have the dividend of my Rail Road stock in the Nashville & Chattanooga R. R. 140 1/4 shares as long as she lives after my death if the said Susan Francis Sharp shall die without heirs then the entire interest in my R R stock of 140 1/4 shares shall go to W. W. Sharp if he be living if he be dead to go to his children. 

2nd My will is that what notes and money I may have at my death after paying my debts & funeral expenses that the remainder be given to the two following schools (to wit) Bethel School near John Chitwoods and Woodland Institute near Estill Springs Depot to be equally divided between them by my executor for the purpose of educating the children around each school. 

3rd My will is that W. W. Sharp have my gold watch 4th My will is that John Chitwood have my secretary.  5th My will is that my servant Allen after my death shall live with Michael Custer & wife and that he pay them four dollars per month to compensate them for taking care of him when he is not able to take care of himself.  Lastly my will is and I appoint John Chitwood my executor to execute this will.

County Court July Term 1865 When the Last Will and Testament of Mary Sharp was presented Court for probate and was duly proven by the oath of John Chitwood and was ordered to be recorded: Witness my hand at office the 11 July 1865.
