Rant of the Day:

Normally my rant will be of a humorous nature; today I am recessing from the standard. My rant will be about a certain group that
has the most distinctive, yet unique, musical approach I've come across. The Cocteau Twins are Simon Raymonde (left), Elizabeth
Fraser (middle), and Robin Guthrie (right). This is not the original lineup, but the one that made the most impact. Their origin lies in
Scotland, circa 1981. 'Garlands', their first album, was 80's goth in its prime, and, in my opinion, not very appealing. Each predecessor
grew in distinction and maturity, and by the late 80's their sound was evolved. Some have likened them to Enya, and this, honestly, just
bugs me. Enya is so floofy and boring, great music for saying 'hey, turn the station!' Had I
the room, I would place an mp3 on the page for download, but my resources are limited.....
Ah, not that limited, ok, for a short time I will post a song for download. If you like more
you can always stop at your local organ grinder and request a number. Be sure to bring
some peanuts for his monkey. Their website is www.cocteautwins.com. Easy enough.
And now, on with the music!
