Requires Apple OSX 10.4 or later.


INSTALLATION

Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger is required. If you’re using Safari, click the download link (above). When the Widget download is complete, show Dashboard, click the Plus sign to display the Widget Bar and click the Widget’s icon in the Widget Bar to open it.

If you’re using a browser other than Safari, click the download link. When the Widget download is complete, unarchive it and place it in /Library/Widgets/ in your home folder, show Dashboard, click the Plus sign to display the Widget Bar and click the Widget’s icon in the Widget Bar to open it.



Binary-Coded Digital Calendar / Clock, or "BinCalClock"

This Widget for Apple's new "Tiger" operating system was inspired by a real-world binary-coded digital clock, created by the guys at anelace.com.

Previous Updates

7/7/05 • If you are experiencing intense CPU usage from the Binary-Coded Digital Calendar / Clock Widget, click the download link below to re-obtain the Widget. There is a version floating around that can eat up 10-20% of your CPU (Activity Monitor will show the Widget is active even if your Dashboard is hidden). Thanks to Jason Harris of Unsanity for the assist.

6/10/05 • Version 1.0 of the Binary-Coded Digital Calendar / Clock Widget will be included on the CD-ROM for an upcoming issue of MacPeople in Japan.

5/3/05 • Version 1.0 of the Binary-Coded Digital Calendar / Clock Widget is included on the CD-ROM for the July issue of Macworld (the US newsstand edition).



5/2/05 • Version 1.0 now listed in the Dashboard area at Apple.com!

4/30/05 • Ported the original PC-centric clock logic into the Dashboard framework!
