I got a late start departing Johnson Creek for the Schafer strip in Montana. I had the misfortune of leaving my plane's master switch on while checking a GPS reading the night before. As a result, Brad Mark and Melody got a two hour head start, while I pulled my battery and hooked it up to Gene's charger.
The late start also meant getting caught in the rainy weather that was moving in over the area. Even so, it was a smooth, enjoyable flight from Central Idaho to Northwestern Montana. By the time I got there, I'd gotten ahead of the bad weather, but it was right on my tail.
