His second son, SAMUEL BAKER, born about 1698 in Northern Ireland, married ELIZABETH THOMSON, born in 1732 in Middle Octarora, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, died 02 August 1776 in , Mecklenburg Co, North Carolina. Their children were born in Rowan County, South Carolina.
1. ROBERT BAKER, SR. born about 1750 in Rowan County, South Carolina, died before May 1809 in Logan County, Kentucky. He was married about 1771 in Virginia to SARAH L. "Sally" _______? born about 1752, died after 1815 in Logan County, Kentucky.
Children of Robert and Sally were:
1a. MARY "Polly" BAKER born about 1772 in Henry County, Virginia. She was married 1) about 1790 in South Carolina to GEORGE PAYNE born about 1765, died before 1808 and was married 2) on 09 February 1808 in Logan County, Kentucky to STERLING CLANTON born about 1770.
1b. MARGARET "Peggy" BAKER born about 1773 in Henry County, Virginia, died in 1826 in Logan County, Kentucky. She was married about 1793 in Pendleton District, South Carolina to JOHN MADOLE born between 1764 - 1771 in Northern Ireland, died about February 1816 in Logan County, Kentucky.
1c. ELIZABETH "Betsey" BAKER born in 1774 in Henry County, Virginia, died on 24 September 1841 in Wilson County, Tennessee. She was married about 1789 in South Carolina to AMBROSE DUDLEY, SR. born in 1759, died in 1840 in Carroll County, Tennessee.
1d. SAMUEL BAKER born in 1776 in Henry County, Virginia. He was married about 1798 in Pendleton District, South Carolina to MARTHA HALLUM born about 1779 in Pendleton District, South Carolina.

1f. WILLIAM BAKER born on 19 May 1783 in Henry County, Virginiam, died on 16 April 1866 in Logan County, Kentucky. He was married on 03 March 1807 in Logan County, Kentucky to PENELOPE "Penny" KIRKLAND born on 23 January 1790, died on 22 January 1834 in Logan County, Kentucky.
