This Haldiman lineage is known from ULRICH HALDIMANN born in 1608 in Canton Bern, Switzerland to the present. Our Missouri connection began with the arrival of the John Christ Haldiman in Moniteau County in the fall of 1853.

ULRICH HALDIMANN born in 1620 in Canton Bern, Switzerland, married Christina Zumstein born about 1628 in Switzerland.

CHRISTIAN HALDIMANN born in 1652 in Canton Bern, Switzerland, married Anna Saltzmann born about 1660 in Switzerland.

ULRICH HALDIMANN born in 1697 in Canton Bern, Switzerland, married Magdalena Seigenthaler born about 1710 in Switzerland.

CHRISTIAN HALDIMANN born in 1734 in Canton Bern, Switzerland, married on 8 May 1773 in Eggiwil, Canton Bern, Switzerland to Anna Peter born in August 1755 in Eggiwil, Canton Bern, Switzerland.

CHRISTIAN HALDIMANN born in June 1774 in Eggiwil, Canton Bern, Switzerland, married on 14 October 1796 to Maria Hofmann born in March 1769 in Steffisburg, Canton Bern, Switzerland.

JOHANNES CHRIST HALDIMANN born 08 June 1806 in Elenbach, Canton Bern, Switzerland, married on 30 October 1835 in Steffisburg, Canton Bern, Switzerland to Margaretha Bähler born on 21 February 1808 in Wimmis, Canton Bern, Switzerland. He was known as John Christ Haldiman in this country.

Children of John and Margaretha were:

1. JOHN HALDIMAN , born on 04 January 1836 in Wimmis, Ctn Bern, Switzerland, died on 04 February 1883 in Moniteau County, Missouri. Never married.

2. MARGARET HALDIMAN, born on 18 December 1836 in Wimmis, Canton Bern, Switzerland, died on 12 March 1874 in Radersburg, Broadwater County, Montana, married 1) on 01 January 1854 in Moniteau County, Missouri to Samuel "Sam" Kaiser, Jr., born on 05 June 1824 in Leuzingen, Canton Bern, Switzerland, died on 24 March 1913 in Radersburg, Broadwater County, Montana, married 2) on 26 December 1872 in Montana to Richard Simpson.

John and Margaretha came to Tuscawaras County, Ohio in 1837 with their first two children. The following children were born in Tuscarawas County:

4. UNNAMED son HALDIMAN, born and died about 1839 in Tuscarawas County, Ohio.

5. JACOB HALDIMAN, born on 10 November 1841 in Tuscarawas County, Ohio, died on 08 September 1910 in Moniteau County, Missouri, married on 09 January 1861 in Moniteau County, Missouri to Mary Ann Roesch, born on 18 November 1842 in Switzerland, died on 11 December 1928 in California, Moniteau County, Missouri.

6. CHRISTIAN "Christ" HALDIMAN , born on 06 October 1843 in Tuscarawas County, Ohio, died on 23 December 1909 in Moniteau County, Missouri, married on 20 September 1865 in Moniteau County, Missouri to Katherine Burger, born on 14 April 1846 in Bavaria, Germany, died on 25 October 1917 in Moniteau County, Missouri.

7. FREDERICK "Friz" HALDIMAN, born on 23 September 1845 in Tuscarawas County, Ohio, died on 04 September 1901 in Moniteau County, Missouri, married 1) on 15 March 1870 in Moniteau County, Missouri to Elisabeth R. Niklis , born on 18 March 1848 in Walperswil, Canton Bern, Switzerland, died on 22 January 1887 in Moniteau County, Missouri, married 2) on 18 Dec 1890 in Moniteau County, Missouri to Louisa C. "Louise" Borghardt, born on 12 March 1863 in Moniteau County, Missouri, died on 19 May 1893 in Moniteau County, Missouri.

8. MARY MAGDELENE HALDIMAN, born in 1848 in Tuscarawas County, Ohio, died in 1922 in California, Moniteau County, Missouri, married 1) on 15 January 1874 in Cole County, Missouri to Dr. John A Pendarvis, born on 25 October 1828 in Colleton County, South Carolaina, died on 08 December 1878 in Moniteau County, Missouri, married 2) on 03 March 1881 in Moniteau County, Missouri to Jacob Dahler, born in 1852, died in 1906.

9. CATHERINE "Kate" HAALDIMAN, born on 20 May 1852 in Tuscawaras County, Ohio, died on 25 October 1912 in Missoula, Missoula County, Montana, married on 01 January 1870 in Moniteau County, Missouri to Thomas "Tom" Kirschman, born on 10 June 1840 in Cooper County, Missouri, died on 23 August 1905 in California, Moniteau County, Missouri.
