A Day In The Life...

Today's News:

No more housing market for us.  A change in events has changed our minds.

What's going on this week:

EARTH DAY! (Doing something good for the planet for a few hours!) ...and some crappy family meeting.

May 8th, 2008 - It's Been A While

So I haven't written in a while. Things are going o.k.. We decided we can' sell the house right now so that' a little bit disappointing but things happen for a reason and I'm sure this has one as well. Izabella started school a few days ago and is going back tomorrow. I hope she continues to like it and learns to use the potty. It' so adorable.

April 28th, 2008 - Insert Catchy Title Here

Family meeting was on Saturday evening. After thinking I'd get be without having to go due to various things. It's over. Nothing is settled. Just had Dave and his mom go at it for about 3 hours. Literally I think Beth was discussed for about 6 minutes and then on to Karen and how she is a moron. I will probably send Beth an E-mail so that I can tell her what I didn't get to tell her and say all that I needed to say.

April 23, 2008 - A New House?

So yesterday I went to Temecula to visit my Aunt Margaret. She's a realtor so somehow I ended up looking at houses. Looked at some creepy bank owned homes but when I got home I looked and found some big houses that were only 299,000. So we shall see what happens. She is going to look at them today.  We are already pre-approved and qualified, so as long as we have 20% down the closing costs are going to be nothing. Got to love Bank of America, at last they finally did something right!

April 20th, 2008 - Prelude to a Family Meeting

So on Saturday we are having a family meeting. Of sorts. I can't tell what it's about, what it's purpose is, and why we all have to go.  I am not getting a feeling that it's going to go well. I don't understand why we have to keep meeting to discuss Beth and her shitty decision making. I just really hope she doesn't say anything to piss me off because I fear that by the end of said meeting Dave's entire family will likely hate me.  I guess that's my problem, I generally say what I think and with that girl I have avoided her for 7 months so that I don't have to have some loud confrontation about how she is the worst person I have ever met. Who cares if her kid has no money and no food? As long as she lives with her mom  I suppose they wont starve. I just can't comprehend doing the bare minimum your whole life. Being just barely good enough is good enough?

April 19th, 2008 - The Weekend

The problem with not having a job is weekends don't quite mean as much as they once did.  I give myself a pretend break from he housework and try to do something for myself. But the weekend is truly irrelevant.  But for this weekend, we are going to watch a boxing match on HBO and I am baking bread this morning.

April 18th, 2008 - The Schedules

I think I need a tweak or two.  My morning routine is this; Wake up, take Maggie outside, Bring Newspaper in, Start coffee, Change Izabella, Feed Fish, Feed Dog, Feed Cats, Make Breakfast, Eat Breakfast (Ha!), Make Beds, Brush Teeth, Start laundry, Unload Dishwasher, Get Dressed, Fix hair and Face and everyone takes vitamins.  I guess when I look at it like this it's not really such a big deal. Never mind! No tweaking necessary.  My afternoon routine however is the one that almost never gets followed. Exercise (once again Ha!), Clean Bathroom Sinks, Clean Bathroom Counters, Daily Cleaning Schedule, Cat Litter, Vacuum Living Room, Trash Out, Closet Hangers, Make Lunch When Izabella wakes up and Eat Lunch.  Since I haven't "exercised" in months I kind of want to take that off since I never do it, but maybe by looking at it, it might happen.  So I just decided to move the bathroom sinks and counters to the morning routine instead. Much easier to do when brushing teeth and getting ready for the day. Oh and in the afternoon during nap time I get to catch up on the DVR shows. Ok, that should solve the afternoon problem. Now on to the Evening. This is after dinner, and after Izabella is in bed. Clean stove top, Prepare Coffeepot, Clean off coffee table, Run Dishwasher, Sweep Kitchen Floor, Pick Up Clutter, and Shower. That seems pretty good. OK. That does it. I'm done.

April 17th, 2008 - The Day After

Yesterday was my birthday. We went to the nursery and got flowers for the house. Good Day.  Just very relaxed and calm.  Izabella had so much fun running through the plants, like her own personal jungle. Of course I forgot to take pictures. Ever the forgetter of cameras.
