About Tony and Stacie

We welcomed Tony into the world on January 28, 1969 as our second child.  Unfortunately, our first child only lived about a week due to being born prematurely.  Tony was born in Charleston, South Carolina, the site of my first duty station in the United States Air Force.  It was apparent to us early on that Tony had a tremendous amount of talent with art.  We really can't remember a time that he wasn't drawing.  Being "artistic" brought about it's problems during Tony's school years, particularly during elementary and middle school.  It was not until we arrived in Warner Robins, Georgia that Tony was able to finally settle in and finish high school.  Shortly after graduating from high school, Tony left Warner Robins for Athens, Georgia.  After a while, he found it necessary to move back home with us and thus really began his art career.

Tony's first venture into the world of comics began with a self-published comic called "Blade" which he co-wrote and did all the art work with his first partner, Seborn "Seeb" Mercer.  Together they paid for the printing and distributed the copies to local comic book outlets.  After a couple of years at home, Tony once again ventured out and moved to Atlanta and was instrumental in the formation of the famous Geiging Studio.  He worked with several established comic book artists and really got on the fast track while associated with that studio.  Once again, circumstances dictated that Tony relocate and he found himself once again in Middle Georgia, this time in Macon.  It was during this time that he first met his future wife, Stacie, who happened to live in the same apartment building.  As they say, one thing led to another and soon they were a couple and then happily married.  Along the way, Tony got his first BIG break in the comics industry when he was offered the comic "Nightmare on Elm Street" as the penciler and cover artist.  That was a very successful relationship and formed the beginning of a very prolific career in comics.  Since that success, Tony has had many other hits as well, including the acclaimed "Starman" and currently "Ex Machina".  Tony recently collaborated with Mark Millar from Scotland on a new mini-series called "War Heros".  This series has been picked up by Sony Pictures and will be made into a motion picture in the future.  Tony has won six Eisner Awards for his work over the years.  The Eisner is the comic book equivalent of an Oscar.  It is the highest award given in the comic industry.

Tony and Stacie got married and eventually started a family.  They currently have three children, Enzo, 13 years old, Mina, nine years old and the latest, Lucy, two years old.  They are a real joy to us.  See the Tony and Stacie album page for photos of the family.
