Lenburg on Disney "Sleeping Beauty" 50th Anniversary DVD

Jeff Lenburg will be among a cast of notables who will appear a special DVD documentary,  "Picture  Perfect: The Making of Sleeping Beauty," produced for Walt Disney's 50th anniversary two-disc platinum edition of its classic 1959 animated feature, SLEEPING BEAUTY ($34.99), to be released later this October.

A longtime animation historian and author of seven books about its rich history, Lenburg was interviewed for the nearly 44-minute documentary along with "Sleeping Beauty" art director Eyvind Earle, actress Mary Costa, supervising animators Ollie Johnston and Marc Davis; animators Will Finn, Frank Thomas, Burny Mattinson, Don Bluth and Andreas Deja; background artist Walt Peregoy; former studio executive and Walt Disney's newphew, Roy Disney; story artist Floyd Norman; Walt Disney biographer and Associated Press entertainment correspondent, Bob Thomas; Pixar Studios animator/director Pete Docter and production designer Ralph Eggleston; Emmy award-winning animator Michael Sporn; and many others.

"Pefect" provides a behind-the-scenes look into the film's origins and development, story challenges and influences, visual design and distinctive look, and overall legacy in the realm of Walt Disney animation lore.
