Iceland
Land of Fire and Water |
|||||
| We have traveled to Iceland on two different occasions to work on Archaeology projects. The first time we worked near the capital of Reykjavik in the southern part of Iceland in 1999 and once to work in the northern part of Iceland in 2001.
There are many similarities between these two visits, but also many differences. Where every you go in Iceland you can encounter the lunar landscape caused the active volcanic activity present in the island nation. But there are different sights in both locations. Below is one of the many waterfalls you can encounter throughout the nation. This is a result of the many glaciers found in the interior. |
