report - APCO. A 9-1-1 dispatcher in Kelso, Washington, was being credited
with guiding a panicked caller throught the Heimlich maneuver and subsequently saving the
victim's life. No big deal? Part of the job? Well what if we told
you the victim was a pot-bellied pig? According to reports, the pig's owner
called 9-1-1 in a panic, saying her pet pig choked and passed out. Using guide cards
- for human patients - Dispatcher Tracy instructed the woman to lift the unconscious pig
to its feet, put her arms around its middle and squeeze. After two big belches, the
pig came to!
