all my hobbies...projects...interests...

work. last year, i changed careers and was fortunate enough to find an amazing company with great coworkers.  i love my job.  i'm a technical communications specialist for a consulting firm.  in plain english, that means that i do technical writing and editing for a company with government contracts.

talk. i use AOL Instant Messenger (AZIchiban) and Yahoo! Messenger (skweeks). i also keep a LiveJournal, but it's friends-only. if you're interested in becoming one of my LiveJournal friends, you can check out my profile.

karaoke. i sing all the time - in the shower, in my car, at the bank, and sometimes while i'm picking out produce in the grocery store.  if you're a karaoke fan, or even if your friends drag you kicking and screaming, maybe you'll see me out at a show sometime.  you can also check out my live performances: track one and track two. i've been thinking about jumping into the recording studio to do some work on a cd.  we'll see what 2005 brings about.

writing. i also write a lot.  i regularly update my online journal, but i also have a side business that i've temporarily put on hold.  i do anything from restaurant menus to magazine articles to event programs, PR, technical documentation, speeches, you name it!  once things settle down, i'm going to try to do more with the business.

sushi. i'm completely addicted to sushi.  in fact, i've been going to the same restaurant for eleven years.  i do their menus and at one point i did their webpage.  so it's kinda like i'm Norm there (just shorter, smaller, and to be honest, i probably smell prettier).  i've met a ton of people at Ichiban, including some really great people that i'm proud to call my friends.  (you know who you are.  and if you don't know who you are, check your drivers' license, or possibly even the tag in the back of your underwear.)

friends. i have a few close friends that i hang out with on a regular basis.  i also have other friends that i see less frequently.  i enjoy meeting new people, and it's always amazing to me how one person can affect so many facets of your life simply by how they interact with you and shape your vision.  my friends inspire me to move forward, to follow my dreams, and to express my opinions without losing sight of who i am and what it is that i want out of life.  that, to me, is happiness.

lovei believe that it exists, and this might be the year.  not too many details here...but i remain hopeful.
