Unknown plant #1

These two pictures are of some variety of an Acacia (I guess) and were taken 9/98 in central Florida. Any ideas as to a more specific ID?! Seeds and seed pods are similar to Albizia julibrissin which looks like a cousin of this plant? The Albizia is the only quite similar looking foliage plant outdoors here in the NE US. Some comments have been also Acacia karoo or Acacia smallii or farnsworth as the ID for this plant.
