Button Indoor Potted Palms in Rhode Island Button

Palms are often grown as houseplants and greenhouse specimens in northern colder climates, here, and in many places. Here are some photos of small palms growing in a greenhouse situation, or in ordinary home indoor conditions in Rhode Island. Photos are of palms in both of these situations (houseplant indoors and/or home greenhouse), and some photos may be of palms outdoors (summer) where many may wind up then (on the porch etc...). The ones outside in pots, (if pictured as such) will be brought back in when the cold weather approaches. The concentration will be a little more on the uncommon than common indoor palms I have and which are available here. Click on plant name to view, then back on your browser to return to this page. Also, see below a pic, (at the bottom) of a palm not hardy here year round, yet great outdoors for many months in a large pot.
