I've been an avid woodworker since about 1989 when I was fortunate enough to fall into a class being taught by Ian Kirby at Palomar College in San Marcos, CA. I got into it because I wanted to save some money and build my own kitchen cabinets.  Well, I did end up with some nice kitchen cabinets, but didn't quite end up saving money.  I did end up getting a great education from Ian.
