Rev. Gordon Bishop, Ed.D. Rev. Gordon Bishop, Ed.D., our Founding Minister and an ER Chaplain with Sharp Grossmont Hospital, returned from his Emeritus status to hold the position of Sr. Minister of our Center from February 2005 through February 2007. He continues to be a beloved Church Member and a valued advisor to our Board of Directors. Rev. Dr. Bishop was a career educator before he was Ordained by United Church of Religious Science/United Centers for Spiritual Living. He is a former School Superintendent, President of the NewSchool of Architecture, and President of Holmes Institute School of Consciousness Studies. The San Diego Center for Spiritual Living, in the urban core of San Diego’s East Village, held Sunday services and special events in The NewSchool of Architecture Building, which is owned by Dr. Bishop, for seven years before moving to our current location at the corner of 10th Ave. and G St., only two blocks from our first home. Rev. Dr. Bishop is the Founder Emeritus of San Diego Center for Spiritual Living. He and his wife, Dr. Karen Bishop, share their time between downtown San Diego, CA, and their new home in Austin, TX; and they travel extensively for both business and pleasure.
