The statue of Christ at the top of the mountain.
To give you some idea how big this statue is, my hubby, Eddie, is 6'5" and he isn't half as tall as the base of this statue.
When you drive up the mountain, the convent is the first thing you come to.
This is where you get the Mother Cabirni water.  It's said that when she started her convent here there wasn't any water, so she struck her staff on a rock and water squirted out.
This spring is one of the purest in the world.  We were last here back in 1969 and I have water from then and it's still as pure as the water I got this trip.

The Chapel building. There are 2 levels with a chapel in the upper level and lower level.
The top of the building in the lower left corner is where the water is.
Inside the upper chapel
Close up of the alter of the upper chapel
Where the trees are is part of the steps leading to the statue of Christ. If you look close you can see the statue right behind the second top tree.
Part of the steps.  I think there's a cazillion of them!
The kids on the steps.  You can say the rosary as you go up the steps.  There are plaque's on crosses with all 15 misteries of the rosary. You can see 2 of the crosses at the top of this picture.
Ready to leave
I took these pictures going down the mountain. You can see the statue at the top.
Another view a little further down
