^6 tornadoes were associated with this estimated profile, including an F1 tornado with 10+ mile track.

Note the weak vertical shear and general decrease in wind with height in this profile (0-1 km SRH 50-60 m2/s2, 0-1 km EHI only 0.2, BL-6 km shear around 24 kts), which roughly matches the DDC observed sounding (not shown) 40 miles WSW.  But also notice the CAPE/LI maximum around 750 mb, with the majority of CAPE below 3 km AGL!  Tornadic storms occurred on or very near an E-W boundary extending east of a surface low and cold core upper low.  With the small storms and distant radar, it is not clear whether these were supercell storms.
