This receipt, in conjunction with the February paperr given Diggs Dishman by his father, were Joseph's receipt for his slave Benjamin. The receipt reads as follows:
Know all men by these presents that I ? Diggs Dishman of the County of King Geo. have bargained and sold unto Joseph Rufner of Shannondoh County one negro man named Ben for the consideration of Sixty Pounds ? which I will warrant and defend against all claims and demands or whats ? given from my hand this 2nd day March 1792.
