Margaret Ruffner purchased a family burial site at Spring Grove Cemetery in Cincinnati in June of 1855. Her husband Joseph and son William had earlier been buried at the Presbyterian Cemetery on 12th Street. This cemetery is now gone and may have been closed in the 1855 era when Margaret purchased this site and had Joseph and William relocated. She purchased the site within a week of when her daughter Martha Jane died. There is now a single stone on the plot which was erected early in the 20th century. The Ruffners, Elisa Haskins, and the Schultzes are identified on the four sides.
