New House Construction

I will try to post more pictures and progress reports here from time to time. They finally dug the
foundation for the new house this week, so the big project is underway.
Pictures on the left were taken March 23, 2003. The house next door to ours only had the foundation on that date.
Pictures on the right were taken May 12, 2003. As you can see, the house next to us has gone up very quickly.

These are pictures we took of the model when we were deciding on the layout. It is a ranch style house with a walk out basement.
The master bedroom and bathroom are on the main level. The window on the front of the house is Anna's bedroom window and she
will have her own full bathroom as well. There are two bedrooms downstairs for the boys and a 3/4 bath. We extended one of the
basement bedrooms to be 22' x 12' and should be plenty big for two boys (or maybe all three initially) to share. There
is a 26' x 12' family room in the basement as well for all the kids' toys. The living space upstairs has a very open
layout. We removed the wall in the picture above that separates the space, so the dining room, living room, kitchen, and eating
area are all open. The laundry room on the main floor separates the kitchen from the garage. We added 2' onto the left side of
the house, giving us more garage and kitchen space.
