Wednesday (5/21) they poured the foundation. The forms are still on in these pictures, but D'Lynn reports they have taken the forms off now,
so "the hole" has officially become "the basement".
The picture to the left was taken in the model standing in the dining room and looking toward the back of the house into the living room.

Left: A good look at the whole foundation. The garage is in the foreground. Right: A view to the east over the top of
the foundation. That pile of dirt in the distance is another house being built about three lots down from us. There are
a number of empty lots to the east of ours.

Left: D'Lynn peeking in the "sliding glass door" that will walk out into the back yard from the basement.
Right: Looking west at the foundation. Compare this picture to 3/23
and 5/12 pictures previously posted

Left: Standing in the basement looking north toward the front of the house.
Right: A picture from the model taken in the living room looking toward the dining room and the front door. This is
taken at a similar angle to the picture on the left.

Some more pictures of the model. Of any room in the model, the kitchen is the one we changed most. We widened it 2', went with white
cabinets, and changed the upper cabinets to 36" rather than 24". The biggest change moved the sink to an island in the middle of the
room which replaces the wall separating the living room and kitchen. The pantry moved into the laundry room, and the 4 panel cabinet
seen in this picture is moved to the right, converted into a desk, and recessed just inside the door from the mud room. I am seen here
showcasing the whirlpool tub in the master bath, though ours will be a little bit longer so you can sit down in it a little better.
The master bath also has a separate shower and double sink.
