Internet Resources 

The Arizona Flute Society Provides inforrmation about upcoming flute events taking place in Arizona, including competitions and performances. Includes a roster of flute instructors.

The Dayton C. Miller Flute Collection.  (Library of Congress) Comprising nearly 1,700 flutes and other instruments, statuary, iconography, books, music, tutors, patents, and other materials mostly related to the flute, the Dayton C. Miller Flute Collection represents the work of at least 460 European and American instrument makers. Part of the American Memory Project of the Library of Congress.

Directory of Flute Clubs and Choirs:  A service provided by the NFA. "To submit your flute club or choir to this listing, you must join the NFA as a Flute Club or Choir. This is a free service. Flutehistory.com.Provides some information about the history of the transverse flute and flute-playing in Western culture.

Fluteland's Online Lessons  A website that allows you to take flute lessons from the comfort of your home.

Flute World   A commercial online store for flutists where one can purchase a variety of flutes and music.

Jean Pierre Rampal: The Man with the Golden Flute. A site that includes biographical information about Rampal, a discography and other useful resources.

Jeanne Baxtresser World renowned flutist, Jeanne Baxtresser, gives information on auditioning for Music Schools, new events in the flute world, and of course, her inspiring life story.

Julius Baker Reflection An article written by Rhonda Larson about her experiences with Julius Baker. Inspiring to any flutist aspiring to be the best they can.

National Flute Association Music Library - Located in the University of Arizona's Fine Arts Library, the NFA's Music Library boasts a collection of approximately 15,000 scores.  Members of the National Flute Association residing in the U.S. or Canada may borrow scores from this library - see the web site for details.

Sir James Galway's web page. This site includes some of Galway's master classes on video, a list of events, and other useful information for flutists.

The Tucson Flute Club Provides information about upcoming events in the metropolitan Tucson region. Also provides links to other local organizations.

University of Arizona School of Music Flute Studio. This site describes the various flute-related programs of study offered by the UA School of Music.
