Welcome to Troop 60
Troop 60 is over 10 years old and have produced 6 Eagle scouts and have 8 active Scouts. Our main work is community service projects, skill training, merit badge work, outings, and camp-outs.Our sponsor is the Del Aire neighborhood Watch Association (DANWA)
Meetings are every Tuesday at 7:00-8:30pm
Dues are $4 a month, except in the summer months.
Uniforms: regular meetings = shirt and hat.
Special meetings = full Class A uniform
At all of our meetings we do skill work and merit badge training and try to sprinkle in other interesting projects or places to go. Each Scout has a Rank requirement sheet that we use to keep track of his progression. All requirements come out of the Scout handbook. Scouts may work on advanced requirements not just on the rank he is going for.
Attendance; if a Scout cannot make it to a meeting or outing, let his Patrol leader know.
Uniform closet: We have some uniform pieces we collected from the ever growing Scouts. If when he grows out of his please donate his uniform to the Troop for others to benefit.
Camp-outs: Food-the Scouts make the menus, assign buyers, charge accordingly, then buy and prepare the food for the Troop. Usually it runs about $8-$10 for food and equipment/supplies for a weekend camp out.
Equipment: Scouts need to bring the suggested items listed in his Scout handbook. We do have Troop tents and campsite equipment.
Merit badge councilors: Please read the MB councilor info sheet and let us know if you can help with any merit badges that are offered.
Troop Resource Survey: Please fill the survey out and return it.
Transportation: The Troop is growing and we are always in need of transportation and ADULT participation on outings and camp outs. We plan early for events so we can schedule these event with your times. We will ask for your help with transportation and adult supervision on some of these events unless you want to go on all of them. You are welcome.
Web Site: we update our web site with interesting sites and our activity schedule. Our web site is:
