Chili Verde
3 - 4 tomatillos
3/4 lb. Pork cut in bite size cubes
2 cloves garlic
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1 small onion
6 oz. Can diced green chile's
1 medium jalapeno pepper
1 can chicken broth
1/2 can water
1/2 tsp. Cumin
2 bay leaves
Salt to taste
Saute pork in oil until brown. Add chicken broth, water, bay leaves
and garlic powder and simmer for 2 hours.
In blender combine remaining ingredients and blend until smooth. Pour
into pan with pork. Continue to simmer for approx 1 hour.
Great for burritos. Put meat in tortilla with beans and cheese.
Top with sauce and cheese and place under broiler until cheese bubbles.
