CLASSIC CRAB CASSEROLE

1 pkg (8 oz) small shell macaroni
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 small can diced green chile's
1/2 cup diced green onion
1/2 cup all purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 qt. milk
3 cans crabmeat
1 container fresh mushrooms sliced
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon tobasco
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
2 cups grated Cheddar cheese


Cook macaroni as package label directs; drain. Preheat oven to 350 F.
Saute onion and mushrooms in butter til tender.
Stir in flour, salt, mustard and pepper until well blended. Gradually stir in milk. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly; reduce heat and simmer 3 minutes. Remove from heat.
Add macaroni, crab, Worchestershire and Tobasco, mix until well blended.
Top with cheese and bake uncovered 30 minutes or until bubbling hot and cheese is melted.
Makes 10 servings.
