Marinara Sauce


2 Large Cans Progresso Whole Tomatoes
3 Tbs. Olive Oil
6 Cloves of Garlic Chopped
1/2 tsp. Salt
1/2 tsp. Sugar
2 Tbs. Dry Minced Onions
1 Tbs. Dry Basil
1/4 Cup Red Wine (Chianti)

Saute garlic in olive oil until soft but not brown, approx. 5 minutes.
Put 1 can of tomatoes in blender with olive oil and sauteed garlic.
Blend until pureed.
Pour into a large pot.
Blend the other can of tomatoes until pureed and add to pot.
Add, salt, sugar, dried onion, basil and chianti to mixture.
Bring to a slight boil then turn down burner and simmer for approximately 3 hours.
