Marinara Sauce
2 Large Cans Progresso Crushed Tomatoes
3 Tbs. Olive Oil
6 Cloves of Garlic Chopped
1/2 tsp. Salt
1/2 tsp. Sugar
1/2 cup chopped onions
1 Tbs. Dry Basil
1/4 Cup white wine
1/4 Cup Romano or Parmesan cheese
Saute garlic and onions in olive oil until soft but not brown, approx. 5 minutes.
Put 1 can of tomatoes in blender with olive oil and sauteed garlic and onions.
Blend until pureed.
Pour into a large pot.
Blend the other can of tomatoes with remaining ingredients until pureed and add to pot.
Bring to a slight boil then turn down burner and simmer for approximately 2 hours.
