Nancy's Baked Chicken
4 boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut in half (8 small pieces)
1/2 onion chopped
2 stalks of celery chopped
1/2 can of cream of chicken soup
1/2 can of cream of celery soup
1 package of Mrs. Cubbison's seasoned dressing
1 package of Dixie Fry
1/2 stick of butter
Lightly brown celery and onion with 1/4 stick of butter
Place dressing in large mixing bowl with browned celery and onions,
1/2 can of cream of celery soup and the other 1/4 stick of melted butter.
Mix thoroughly and add enough water to make the dressing moist.
Grease a large casserole dish and place the dressing in the dish.
Dip chicken in Dixie Fry and brown in oil on both sides.
When brown, place chicken on top of dressing in casserole dish.
Pour 1/2 can of cream of chicken soup in a small bowl and mix with a
small amount of water.
Pour cream of chicken soup over each piece of chicken, making sure each
piece of chicken is covered with the soup.
Cover casserole and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes to 1 hour...
****I couldn't watch it for an hour so I put it in the oven
at 300 degrees for 2 hours and it was perfect.
