Prime Rib #2 Slow Cooked Version
1 Prime Rib Roast 4 - 5 lbs. with bone
1/4 cup Prime Rib Rub (recipe to follow)
Remove roast from refrigerator and rub with Prime Rib Rub.
Let stand until it reaches room temperature.
Insert meat thermometer in center of roast.
Put in roasting
pan and place in 450 degree oven for 15 minutes. Reduce oven temperature
to 250 degrees and continue to cook
until meat thermometer reads just above rare. About 20 minutes per pound.
Remove from oven, cover with foil and let sit for 15 minutes. The roast
should turn out medium rare.
Prime Rib Rub
1/2 Cup Salt
1/4 Cup Black Pepper
2 Tbsp. Granulated Garlic
1 Tbsp. Paprika
1 Tbsp. Dried Thyme Leaf
1 Tbsp. Dried Marjoram Leaf
