In November 2008, I had the pleasure of attending the ALAN Workshop in San Antonio, Texas. I met many more writerly friends and also had the honor of introducing Printz winner John Green at the workshop.
In 2007, I attended the Writer's Workshop at Chautauqua and was enthralled and impressed with the talented writers and editors, so much so, I started a group just for the alumni from that workshop: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Chautauqua2007/
where 70 people gather to chat about updates both personal and industry related.
