Our Mission

  • To promote public awareness, understanding, and appreciation of the Chinese culture, including Chinese history, art literature, customs and traditions;

  • To assist and support other charitable organizations which provide relief and services to the Chinese community in San Diego County;

  • To encourage the pursuit of higher education by members of the Chinese community through scholarship awards.

Association Profile

The association was founded in 1981 as the San Diego Chinese Women's Club, a non-profit organization.  At that time 10 women brainstormed the idea of putting together an organization to help what is now the San Diego Chinese Center. Thirty women showed up for their first meeting, which was a tea at one of the original founder's home.  Now known under its new name we are a tax-exempt corporation as of June 26, 1990.  Our present membership is seventy.

Membership is open to any person interested in furthering the purposes of the organization.

Monthly meetings take place on the first Saturday of each month.

Dues are $25.00 per year.

Benefits include:  Educational Programs, Monthly Newsletter, Members Handbook & Roster
