WELCOME TO YOUR PET’S HOME AWAY FROM HOME

At Just Like Home K-9 Boarding, your best friend will be treated like one of my own. I provide a unique alternative to boarding kennels. I offer a social boarding atmosphere without the use of runs for up to six dogs. My home provides a clean and safe environment for you pet. Dogs of all sizes are welcome and receive 24-hour care. Every effort is made to keep your pet’s feeding schedule and habits on your routine. Indoor pets will get their fill of fun, play and companionship throughout the day and into the night. All dogs sleep inside with varying amenities, depending on your wishes and your pet’s needs.

When you’re on vacation, whether for a couple of days or weeks at a time, you will have complete piece of mind knowing your precious pet is in a home environment where your pet can make new friends and have good, old-fashioned fun in a safe loving home.

If your pet enjoys playing with other dogs or people, he or she will  love the unique social boarding that Just Like Home K-9 provides.

During the day, your pet will have fun running in the sun, napping in the shade and playing with friends, all within a two acre fenced yard.

Every effort is made to keep your pet’s feeding schedule and regular habits on your routine. Each pet will indulge in private meals twice daily.

Just Like Home K-9 understands that most small pets are happier indoors at all times, whether it be age, shyness or size. Indoor boarding is available for all pets under 30 lbs as well as geriatric pets up to 100 lbs. Your precious pooch will truly have the feeling of being at home. They will have free roam of my home day and night with plenty of time to play with other indoor pets, snuggle on the couch and go for walks outside several times per day.

I believe dogs are happiest when they are around caring people and other dogs. Just Like Home K-9 Boarding was started in the spring of 2005 to give pet owners a whole new concept and choice in pet boarding. Now, “finally!” you don’t have to leave your dog in a cage or home alone while you are away. I am a certified Pet Care Technician with the American Boarding Kennels Association. I managed a large boarding kennel for five years, have done volunteer work at veterinary clinics and am currently volunteering at Wild Wonders, a wildlife education organization.

I have a beautiful German Sheppard, King Tut, a cat named Ember, who was rescued from the 2003 San Diego wildfires, two horses, Red and Pickles and two pygmy goats, Wiley and Blue, who I hand raised and bottle fed. I am truly a animal lover and will give your family member the social interaction, close monitoring and one-on-one attention that it needs while you are away.
