The Fungus
Among Us: Toxic Mold New Buyer Concern, Seller Liability
The landmark case occurred, perhaps ominously, in a place called Dripping
Springs, Texas. No one saw it coming, creeping up slowly, out of the moist, and
the darkness. Within months, home sales in one major state were paralyzed, and
the nation's largest state rushed emergency legislation.
World's Most Expensive Condo Building Is a Mold "Slum"
The residents in the world's most expensive building are leaving behind
priceless artifacts they believe are contaminated with mold. The suit against
the developer of the building at 515 Park Avenue alleges mold contamination in

family sick and killing his dog.
Tenants' pesky mold infestation part of trend

December, the couple's Pembroke Pines apartment has been infested with mold. It
has damaged most of their furniture and forced them to throw away shoes,
clothes, and purses. They estimate a $5,000 loss.
Discussing Mold Never Gets Old
A live mold spore can live behind your walls for more than a decade, waiting for a stray drop of water to help it pop to life.
A dead mold spore contains the same toxic properties as a live one. Until they grow into that billion-member colony, mold spores are invisible - typical size is 2 to 20 microns. You could fit 20 million 5-micron spores on a postage stamp. Mold needs water and food for sustenance
Mold, which is a fungus is a naturally N'Awlins kind of thing. We have thousands of varieties in the local environment. What you don't want is to have more spores inside your house than outside.
Mold remediators can not, in this
state, conduct post-clearance tests on their
own remediation efforts since it is
considered to be a conflict of interest.
