HAAM recently .

Ben L. (W7FNE, sk)
submitted his story for the publication in the Grapevine which
appeared
in the May
issue of 1984. It harks back to the original days of this net
which started some 55
years ago and became a source of substitute meetings for ship's radio
operators, shut-ins,
and others inaccessible to regular meetings. Since then, the
tradition has carried on.
