My station consists of an ICOM IC-746PRO with matching SP-23 external speaker, ICOM PS-125 power supply, MFJ Versa Tuner III, Ameritron AL-811 linear amplifier, Heil Goldline HM-4 Mic coupled with the W2IHY 8-band audio equalizer and noise gate, Bencher BY-1 paddle, LTA straight key, SignaLink SL-1+ interface, and a Cushcraft MA5V antenna up 20 Feet. For HT work I use a Kenwood TH-F6. For VHF/UHF, I use a Yaesu FT-7800R.

I enjoy CW (Morse code) and am a FISTS CW Club member, #10392, CC #1867. FISTS was founded in 1987 by Geo Longden, G3ZQS, and now has thousands of members worldwide. A "FIST" is merely a CW operator's reference to another operator's keying characteristic. If you enjoy operating CW, I urge you to join FISTS.

I am also a severe weather spotter for Arizona SKYWARN. SKYWARN is a National Weather Service (NWS) program of trained volunteer severe weather spotters. SKYWARN volunteers support their local communities and government by providing the NWS with timely and accurate severe weather reports.

I also volunteer with the Maricopa County Emergency Communication Group. MCECG consists of hams who volunteer to work public service events such as marathons, bike races and walks, as well as being poised to serve communities and government in case of emergencies.
