Field Services General Activity Report -
- Cut weeds in unpaved alleys between Indian School and Camelback, 68 St. and Scottsdale Rd.
- Resurfaced alleys between McKellips and Roosevelt, Scottsdale and Miller.
- Replaced damaged concrete in the area between Thomas and Camelback, 68 St. and Hayden.

Solid Waste General Activity Report
- 71 Refuse Containers Inspected
- 18 Tagged for closing lids, Bag & Tie and/or overflow issues

Parks and Grounds Management General Activity Report -
- Continue to work on painting the streetscape features in Old Town
- Removed 13 shopping carts and 4 unregulated signs from various areas south of Thomas, Scottsdale Rd. to Hayden.
- The pruning of city owned palm trees continues. Scottsdale, Osborn to Camelback has been completed. West Main St. will be completed on 7-7-2005. The contractor will continue pruning in the downtown the week of the 11th
- Worked to remove debris from the ASU/COS facility. Code Enforcement has been contacted for graffiti removal
- Continue to work closely with the city inspector and construction supervisor on numerous issues associated with the downtown construction projects (i.e. broken city irrigation lines, dump trucks dropping debris and correcting directional signage that mysteriously moves on it's own during the evenings.
- Worked to remove weeds and debris at the ASU-COS site
- Eliminated 2 sight obstructions (per a citizens request) at 83rd St. and Chaparral and Miller Rd. at Earl.
- Treated the drain on McDonald, east of Scottsdale Rd. for mosquitoes

6100 block of E. Edgemont - A Solid Waste program representative noticed that contracted landscapers were piling sand, gravel, dirt and concrete in an alley. The homeowner and the landscapers were contacted to let them know that what they were doing was wrong and were informed about how to correct the situation. The alleyway was restored back to its original condition within a few days.

Partnerships & Connections
6700 block of E. Palm Lane - A city residential collection operator contacted a fellow employee about a homeowner who was starting a block wall construction project in the alleyway. It was found that not only was construction debris obstructing alley access, but also the resident had not acquired the proper permit for the project. The city informed the workers to clear the alley of all debris and to stop all work on wall until a permit was issued. The city Inspection Services office and Code Enforcement were notified of the situation.
