Bienvenu, tout quelqu'un (phonetic pronunciation: Byenn van-new, too keecan), welcome everybody, to La Gazette Toutes Choses:
Mes Cheres Amis (May Sha Zah-mee),

It all takes place at the Apache Greyhound Park at 220 S. Delaware, Apache Junction. Tickets are available at the AJ Chamber of Commerce at 567 W. Apache Trail, AJ, 85220 for $30.00 per individual or $50.00 per couple. The second Zydeco dance class for Tucson is hanging fire till we get enough students signed up to make it go. If you still haven't learned how to dance the Zydeco or the Cajun Two-step, but would like to, here's your chance. It's a 6 week session for the low, low price of $6 per person per class. The class goes from 8:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesdays. We'll start with the Zydeco and go from there. Please RSVP to jpintozyd@mybluelight.com to reserve your space.

The Louisiana music JAM SESSION will continue on hiatus through April. Again, it just happens that the 1st Friday (April 7) is too conflicted with other time commitments. Then, the 3rd Friday is the 21st, when BLZ will be in Apache Junction (see above). With luck, we'll get one going in May.

Don't forget, every Saturday morning, you can tune in to Rosie on the House. Rosie's Phoenix home is KTAR, 620 AM from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. In Tucson, we have an affiliate broadcast of Rosie on the House on KNST, 790 AM from 10:00 to 12:00 noon.
The Romero family has been a fixture in Phoenix for many years. Rosie's Mom is Baby K of Cajun restaurant fame and Rosie, himself, has been on air for many years answering any questions about the house, home repair and remodeling. Rosie's son, Romey, joins him at the microphone and together, they get it done.
During the show, as they go in and out of commercials, the bumper music is from the Southwest Louisiana tradition of Cajun and Zydeco music, and you got a show that's not only informative, but entertaining, as well.
You can also visit rosieonthehouse.com on the web to submit questions if you're not in phone range of the show.

Tabasco Road on Sunday evenings from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. has been going great. Now, you don't have to wake up avant le jour (before dawn) to get your weekly Louisiana music fix. Lots of great dance music to finish off your weekend and the Louisiana French lesson continues at 6:20 p.m. The musical emphasis will be on Cajun, Zydeco and Swamp Pop.
With KXCI screaming on the web at kxci.org, you can catch the show no matter where you are in the world, if you got that computer & internet link.
Also, I still have a supply of some nice "I [love/heart] Zydeco Music" bumper stickers, courtesy of listener Lynn Johnson. If you'd like to have one for your car, send me a SASE at Tabasco Road, KXCI Radio, 220 S. 4th Ave., Tucson, AZ 85701, and it's yours for free.

If there's anything you'd like to see in La Gazette Toutes Choses that I haven't been addressing, let me know and I'll be glad to consider it.

As always, it is your choice to continue receiving this news. If you change your mind, let me know at jpintozyd@mybluelight.com and I will remove you from the list, posthaste. If you have a friend who should be ON the list, let'em know and I'll be glad to add.
FAIT ATTENTION: Receipt of La Gazette automatically enrolls you in the Bon Temps Social Club of Tucson. Come on out to see Black Leather Zydeco to partake of the benefits of that membership.
If you happen to make it out to one of these or any other Black Leather Zydeco performances, come on up and say hello. I'll be the one with the accordion.
Au revoir, mes amis, laissez les bons temps rouler!
Jeremiah Peabody, Minister of Dance, O.C.D.
