A great egret on a tree branch on Kiawah Island, S.C.
These
black swans did their
pas
de deux at Barrier Island Station in Kitty Hawk, NC,
where, alas, native foxes have done away with all the imported
waterfowl.
However, local birds like the gulls, pelicans
and ospreys
still thrive in the area.
I
paint a lot of water birds:
These swans are on the
River Avon in
Stratford, and the flamingos, below, in the Little Rock, AR
zoo!
