Be it Remembered that I, Henry Cowgill of Fawn Township, YorkCounty and
Province of Pennsylvania, Yeoman, being mindful of my mortalitydoth make
this my last will and testament in manner following that is to saytouching
such worldly goods wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me within this
life I give and dispose of the same in the following manner andform--
Imprimis I order that all my just debts and funeral charges befully paid--
Item.  I give and devise to my loving wife Alice Cowgill and myson John
Cowgill three hundred acres of land with the buildings andimprovements on
which I now live to hold the same in joint partnership during mywife's
widowhood and provide --- she my wife sould [sic] marry again thatthen she
shall have but the one third of the said three hundred acres ofland tha t is
to say my dwelling house and the other buildings with one hundredacres of
land during her natural life and from and after her decease I willthat my
son John Cowgill shall hold the whole of these three hundred acresof lan d t
him his heirs & assigns forever ---
Item. I give and devise to my daughter Lydia one equal half partthe
remainder of all my lands and and [sic] tenements during theminoraty [sic]
of my grandson Joseph Banif---- which he the said Joseph is topossess and
enjoy at the age of twenty-one years provided that said Lydia paysto my
daughter Alice the sum of twenty-five pounds.
Item. I give and devise to my daughter Ellen one equal half partof the
remainder of lands provided that she pays my daughter Alicetwenty-five
pounds.
Item. I give and device to my daughter Alice the sum of fivepounds to be
paid out of the movables of my estate.
Item. I give and devise to my son Henry Cowgill one pine chestwith
drawers under ---
Item. I give and devise to my daughter Rachel Payn the featherbed that
was formerly her mothers ---
Item. I order touching such goods and Chettels as I shall bepossessed of
at the time of my decease that after paying my debts and funeralcharges as
