Georgia began working at F. W. Woolworths on the Independence Square. (No rth Side) as a sales clerk. She soon was promoted to supervisor. A new st ore was built at the Blue Ridge Mall, and she continued working at Woolwo rth's until her retirement.
In 1971 she suffered a mild stroke w3hile undergoing gallbladder surger y which left he left side somewhat impaired. In late 1971 she moved in w ithher son Larry Bob and his wife in a new house in Blue Springs (bough t to make room for his mother) she lived only a few months before sufferi ng a second stroke which left her in a coma. She died at the Independenc e Regional Hospital on November 1, 1971.Married Ross Sherman Wiley
