"THE CANDYMAN"

Greetings everyone!

Once again, time is flying! I'm writing to you today from inside Forgiven's bus. The Floyd Gospel Sing was this past weekend, and the Forgiven guys were kind enough to let me climb back on the bus with them and hitch a ride. What an awesome weekend!!!

The Floyd sing is an awesome outdoor concert event that greatly resembles the Cedar Falls Gospel Sing. Many of the same groups are there, which makes for an amazing time of friendship and camaraderie! I must admit, my mind is a blur of so many wonderful memories of this past weekend. Five of my absolute favorite groups were there: Forgiven - Bartlesville, OK; Master's Voice - Bristow, OK; George Amon Webster Trio - Wilmore, KY; Phil & Pam Morgan - Lee's Summit, MO; and Higher Power - Ankeny, IA.

Some of my fondest memories from the weekend include:
• hilarious subtle interactions between groups while one is performing on the stage.
• awesome performances by the groups
• great food (including the best musk melon (cantaloupe) I've had in a LONG time)
• hanging out at the product tables of several groups
• a conversation with Barney Fife (Larry Delawder)
• making new friendships with many other gospel music fans
• a special blanket given to me for my nephew
• trips to town with Todd & Jackie (George Amon Webster Trio)
• hanging out on the bus with Jackie, Todd, Ricky, and David
• Jackie getting initiated (sumoed) by Mark Brooke
• watching the game with Mark Green and Higher Power on Higher Power's bus
• the bus rides with Forgiven
• the Saturday night dinner/story time with Forgiven and George Amon Webster Trio
• awesome concerts Sunday morning and evening by Forgiven
• lunch with The Phillips and some members of their congregation after the Sunday Morning concert
• a special dinner in Waterloo after the Sunday evening concert

Thanks to everyone involved with the Floyd sing and Forgiven's Sunday concerts for a most enjoyable and memorable weekend!

Things have been busy since my last posting. The biggest update is in regards to my stay in Kansas City. After 3½ months, my time in KC is done, which means I am now back in Tulsa. Thanks to the entire team at Social Suppers - Liberty for a great experience. I wish them all the best of success in their endeavor. Now that I am back in Tulsa, I am fully resuming the productions and duplication.

If you haven't visited my journal from my travels with Forgiven during 2005, I welcome you to check it out. You can access it by clicking here. If you enjoy my journal, please send me an email and let me know.

For now, that's all the updates that I have for you. There are several things brewing, but they either haven't materialized enough to be able to share, or I'm not at liberty to share (yet). I do have a special request, though. Please keep me in your prayers. I have a few decisions to make in the near future, and I need God's direction. I have a few exciting opportunities in front of me that I am considering, and I just want to do what is in God's plan.

Until next time, may God bless and keep you and yours! Have a great one!
