Hello my name is Kevin Rickard and I live in Virginia Beach.  In 2004 I retired from the Navy after 23 years of service. After the Navy I completed an Elementary School Professional Postgraduate teaching license in  the state of Virginia.  I have worked as a substitute teacher in the Virginia Beach City Public School system.  I have a pretty good setup because I also float over to their Department of Technology and work on their Windows XP/Active Directory migration project. My team has migrated 8 high schools and their adult learning center.   
 

I have a wife, Kris and daughter, Raechel.  My hobbies include Photography, Ceramics, Genealogy and Gardening. Having been outside the United States for four years, most of my genealogy research has been conducted over the Internet through online databases and special interest sites as well as family, friends and Internet contacts digging through local records in various places.  With that hobby I also have a web site to communicate with my helpers.  A link to that site is provided at the left.

    In May 2002 I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems Management  from the University of Maryland University College, European Division.  In December 2004 I completed a Masters of Science in Elementary Education with Old Dominion University. Kris also completed a Doctorate in Law Degree in December 2004 with Regent University.
