Well, Summer School has only 4 days left. It's been an interesting experience. I hope what work I did with the kids carries over to the new school year.

I've also gotten several things done around the house. It's been a long time since I've had this much time to dedicate to projects around the house. The yard is looking good and I can now find things in my shed. We had one casuatly this month. The 17 year old washer bit the dust. Bad time financially but we had to get a new one. We got a washer dryer set, front loading and stacked. Now I have to reconfigure for cabinets in the laundry room.

Other excitements for the month included finding a 5 foot rat snake in the back yard. Up until now, (8 years) we've only found 18 inch garter snakes in the yard. I now have moles in the yard so that might be bringing the snakes in.

My work at school is now changing for this next school year as well. I will not be teaching 4th grade. My focus is Science and Technology. I am working out of my science lab with grades 3-5 on Science Lab lessons and then working with all grades on technology integration. I will also be running an after school science club every two weeks. It looks to be a fun and exciting year. It should also give me my weekends and some of my evenings back.
