Stop The Democratic Party RACISM!!

Democrats say they are the party for minorities in America, but look at their record! For over 100 years, Democrats and their racist policies have attempted to derail the advancement of minorities in America:

- A Republican congress passed the Civil Rights Act of 1866 – President Andrew Johnson (DEMOCRAT) vetoed the bill.

- 80% of House Republicans and 82% of Senate Republicans voted for the Civil Rights Act of 1964 – Only 63% of House Democrats and 69% of Senate Democrats voted for the bill.

- Current W. Virginia senator Robert Byrd (DEMOCRAT) is the most senior member of the U.S. Senate. Sen. Byrd is a former member of, and recruiter for, the Ku Klux Klan and filibustered against the Civil Rights Act of 1964 for 14 hours.

- Al Gore Sr. , the former DEMOCRAT Vice President and presidential running mate's father, was a DEMOCRAT who helped Sen. Byrd lead the charge to filibuster the Civil Rights Act of 1964. He considered himself a “Segregationist Democrat.”

- Two of former DEMOCRAT president William Jefferson Clinton's early political mentors were Segregationist Democrats. Arkansas Senator J. William Fulbright whom Clinton interned for, and former Arkansas Governor Orval Faubus who wouldn't follow Republican president Dwight Eisenhower's executive order to integrate public schools in 1957.

- Senate Democrats attempted to keep African-American Clarence Thomas from sitting on the Supreme Court in 1991.

- Now in 2003, Senate Democrats are attempting to keep the first ever Hispanic American from sitting on the DC Circuit Federal Appeals Court bench with another filibuster!
