| This
will be dedicated to nothing but Alaska. The home of the Last Frontier.
That cold, icy abode. Wandering around in the dark and in sub-zero temperatures
during winter months, and basking in 24 hours of daylight and 90+,(In
Fairbanks anyway), during summer months. Ooppsss! I guess I kinda went
off the path a little on that one. Seclusion will do that to you sometimes.
This
is the land of mutant vegetables, (And some other forms of plant life),
growing LARGE in the fertile soil of the Matanuska Valley. The land
of beautiful green carpeted mountains with white, snow covered jagged
peaks. The land where people have a unique spirit for life.
You
know, the thing about Alaska that seems to have captivated most people
for the last 150 years, is its remoteness and its pristineness. Not
only is it truly the "Last Frontier" on the face of this earth, it also
boasts some of the most spectacular scenery in the world. And no one
would deny that as far as natural resources go, Alaska is second to
none. The oil pipeline shows us the lengths that man is willing to go
to get at its resources and still leave the wilderness virtually untouched.
From personal experience, I have gone to great lengths just to get to
its scenery.
