 These photos show the 24" Clark refractor telescope on Mars Hill at the Prescott Observatory.
 
 
 Our guide, Tim, showed us how the 6 ton telescope could move by pushing it around.
 
 
 
We saw Percival Lowell's sketchbooks of Mars...
that were later made into globes of the Martian surface.

This is the telescope that Clyde Tombaugh used to find the planet Pluto.  There isn't an eyepiece, but instead a cover for a  photographic plate.
