Charlestown Time Trials

Where: Ninigret Park, Charlestown, RI. (Follow the signs off Route 1)

What: 9.3 Mile (15km) Bicycle Time Trial on Route 1 in Charlestown & South Kingstown RI.

Gently rolling course with very good pavement.

Time: Monday Evenings throughout the summer. Registration opens at 6:00 PM. First rider off at approximately 6:30 PM. The Time Trial will be cancelled in the event of hazardous weather conditions.

Fees: $6 per night, or $50 for the entire 13-week season. There will be no event on the July 4^th weekend.

Requirements: All riders are required to wear a helmet while competing, and while riding to and from the course. During the event competitors are required to ride in the breakdown lane. We are being tolerated by the local police department on this condition. Flagrant violators will be disqualified, barred, and forfeit any entry fees paid.

Awards: Trophies will be awarded based on points earned each week, both overall and in category. Minimum of 7 rides are required to qualify for awards. Awards to the top overall riders (male and female) and to the top riders in each category (Male/Female in the following age categories - Under 18, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+). The number of awards in each category will be based on the number of qualified entrants.
