June 4th, 2002 is the day for my
makeover...LOL!

July 4th, Boy Oh Boy, let me off this "Mr. Toads Wild
Ride!", I am very happy and sad at the same time, scared and worried.
The results are everything I expected but the unknowns and questions are hard to
deal with. I don't want to whine anymore but this is MY pity party...LOL.

Hey everyone....
I got the best phone call today. Susie who is Dr. Barber's nurse
called me today. Dr. Barber is a surgeon that came highly
recommended to me by good ole' Doc Fisher for my hernia repair.
Susie called to tell me that my hernia repair AND my panniculectomy
have both been approved by my insurance co. So on Tuesday morning 6-
4-02 it is off to UMC for my "makeover." This hernia has been
driving me crazy. I feel for all who have to wear a binder (I call
it my girdle) and for the women in the 1800's who had to wear that
binder thing that laced up the back. I go to bend over and I "spring
back" into an upright position, but soon it will be done with. Susie
told me that I will be in the hospital for 3-4 days providing all
goes well which I am almost positive it will. Scott will be with me
so he will be updating you all on my progress. You may ask why Doc
isn't doing this, well he does not accept my insurance anymore, and
besides he is so busy, I'd rather see him do surgery on the next
person that really needs his expertise and help someone else "come to
our side." I also would like to take this time to Thank all of you
for your support and to Thank all the special people I have met out
there. This is a great group and I cherish all the time we spend
chatting, talking, etc. Sorry I haven't been to support lately but I
work swing and we have new management so I don't want to push it too
much. Please feel free to drop by and visit me in the hospital or
call me. As I said earlier Scott will keep you all updated!!
Love ya'll,
Vince
