Born in June 1990, Kevin Koppman-Gue is a nineteen year-old actor
living in San Diego, California who has been acting professionally since he was 11 years old.
Before
Kevin discovered acting he had been pursuing gymnastics, having started
at a local gym at the age of one. He then moved on to join
the Mission Valley Boys Gymnastic team where he ranked 46th, level
6 in the 2001 regional competition that included hundreds of boys
from California, Nevada and Hawaii. Although Kevin loved performing
through gymnastics he would find that it was not his first love.
Kevin
stepped on the stage for the first time when he was 10 years old.
He has been passionate about acting since his debut as Jo with
the Metropolitan Educational Theatre's (MET2) production of Big
River. While with MET2 Kevin was in numerous shows including
The Wiz, as The Munchkin Mayor and a Flying Monkey, and
The Sound of Music as Kurt. Kevin went on to play Tom Sawyer
in Big River three times, twice with MET2 in two different
cities and once with another youth group where
he also played the part of Thenardier in the school version of
Les Miserables. His first lead role came in early 2005
with a youth group where he played Seymour Krelbourn in Little Shop Of Horrors.
Kevin's
introduction to the professional theatre began at the age of eleven at
6th at Penn Theatre in the production of Dr. Marianne McDonald's
translation of Euripides' The Children Of Heracles. Since then Kevin has performed in two other Greek translations by Dr. McDonald, Madea, Queen of Cholchester and The Bacchae. He
has continued to work within the San Diego theatre community with
Sledgehammer Theatre, Fritz Theatre, Lambs Player's Theatre, Lynx Performance Theatre and continues to return to 6th at Penn Theatre.
Throughout
Kevin's acting he has pursued his second passion,
drumming. He was the percussionist for The Actor Alliance
Festival production of excerpts of The Serpent for which
they were awarded a best ensemble award by the festival. Kevin
played a Ghana drum in a Night of Cultural Arts on the campus
of Cuyamaca College. And most recently was the percussionist for War and Roses at 6th at Penn.
Kevin's
first on camera break came from his friend and award winning singer
Eve Selis
when he was an extra in her Do You Know Me video. He gained additional
experience appearing in an infomercial for BeCalm'd and the short
film Andrews Alterations, which debuted at The
San Diego Film Festival. His latest on camera endeavor is his Compound W commercial which was also produced as a print advertisement.

Kevin
began high school in the fall of 2004 after appearing in the school's
production of The Boyfriend that they performed earlier
that summer. He has since been in numerous other high school productions
including Grease and Noises Off for which he won Best Actor Awards. He was assistant Director for the Highland Players The Crucbile where he had his first lighting design opportunity. In October of 2007 Kevin had his directorial debut for his senior project with the opening of Birds of Paradise at Helix.
Kevin
continues his acting and stays involved with the theatre
community through his professional membership in Actors
Alliance of San Diego and their All-City Auditions.
