Dan and StarTrek

<<I'm Dan, enjoy my StarTrek
HomePage.......GOD BLESS.
Over here is my wife Pat>>>>>
We have been together 32
years, almost as long as StarTrek.

In September of 2001, StarTrek became 30 years old (young); and in February of 2004, I became 54 years old (young).  Ever since I was born (almost) I have been interested in Science Fiction and things of Outer Space; existence of aliens and UFOs and such.  I have been an Amatuer Astronomer almost as long.  I have a telescope and binoculars and I observe planets and know several of the Constellations on sight and I even saw the Andromeda Galaxy once with my telescope.  Among my favorite authors are:   Issac Asimov, Robert Heinlein, Arther C. Clarke, and Carl Sagan.  I love all things StarTrek;  its' premise, all the Stars and the Characters they play, all Episodes and all Series and all Movies;  even comics and animated ST.  Among my favorite characters: are Kirk and Spock and McCoy and Sarek and Data and Geordi and Deanna and Odo and Quark and Dax and Tuvok and Janeway and Kes and B'lanna and T'pal and Archer and etc., etc, ------- to name a few.......
My wife, Pat (above) and I, married 33 years (come 9/18/04) and we've known each other since June '67.  Our 2 sons, Dan, Jr; Bobby  (31) and Jeff  (28) [with dog, Gracie (5)] (2 pics on the left) are our blessings.  Unlike most other fathers, who played ball and the like with their sons, I

showed my sons things of Outer Space and took them to StarTrek Conventions.  We 3 had a lot of fun and they, two, learned to think in terms of the Future and its' myriad possibilities, as does StarTrek; and not to dwell on the past.

Along with all the things of future possibility, I believe and support the present realities of NASA and  the Space Program, up to and beyond the most recent excursion to Mars.  I envy StarTrek's mentor Gene Roddenberry's ashes having been sent in to space recently - if only I could do the same (hmmm)???  NASA has its' shuttles (one named 'Enterprise'), and, of course; I believe that these ships will ultimately lead to the Enterprises we see on StarTrek and beyond. I believe that quite a bit of what is Sci-Fi right now will be Sci-Fact eventually (hmmm)????

As far as my life now goes, I am a Security Guard at Viejas (an Indian Casino and Turf Club) I love it (I changed careers from Pit Clerk - was recently eliminated by a computer).  My wife and I are live alone with our dog Gracie (pic below).  For us together alone and with family time, Pat and I love to go San Diego Padres games each year (pic of me/Pat below). Bobby is moved out (for a few years now) and lives in his own place with his girlfriend Sandy and dog Ted (pics below)(he is Gracie's son). Jeff is married to Steffi (pic w/Jeff below) and they just gave us our 1st Grandson (born 2/27/04 at 11:49p.m. Germany time (where Jeff is stationed in Army) Julian Thomas (see pics below).

Bob/Sandy and Bob/Ted and me/Pat Disney and me/Pat Padres are in top 4 pics.  Bottom 4 pics are:
Jeff/Steffi SeaWorld and new Grandson Julian (14 min) and Julian (a few hrs) and Gracie Park.

I still love StarTrek and Computers and Science Fiction and all things of Outer Space and Amatuer Astronomy and being a couch potato (watching ST quite a bit) and most of all my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen and Amen.  I have a large collection of StarTrek memorabilia, including all but one of the Hallmark Xmas ornaments and a whole bunch of figures (half in and half out of the packages) and even a large pic of the NG Enterprise with 43 red, green, and gold lights (13 blinking) - AWESOME!!!!!!! and many autographed pics.   I have several CD-ROM games on my computer including StarTrek Klingon, Birth of the Federation, StarFleet Academy, StarFleet Enterprise, and StarTrek Voyager. My computer has 2 GiG processing speed, 512Meg RAM, 120GiG HD, 32Meg graphics card, and a CD-CDR-CDRW-DVD drive. A hearty God Bless and Live Long and Prosper and Qapla (Klingon for 'success') to all.......
